Go for Gold!

Cheer on Team Canada this Winter Olympics and join in with your own games! Becoming an Olympian isn't easy. You have to train long hours for years so let's get you started! Become a Little Olympian by coming back every day between February 4th and 20th to complete an activity, exercise, or game!

Day 4 - February 7

Work on your aim with ring toss! What you'll need is:

  • A chair,
  • A hula hoop (If you don't have a hula hoop, you can use a rope or elastics.)

If you're playing on your own:

  1. Take 5 steps away from the chair
  2. Toss your hula hoop trying to get it around the chair
  3. Give yourself 3 chances to get the hula hoop around the chair.
  4. Once you've gotten the hula hoop around the chair, take 6 steps away from the chair and repeat the process.

If you cannot get the hula hoop around the chair after 3 tries, start over but move one step closer to the chair.

If you're playing with someone else:

  1. Take 5 steps away from the chair.
  2. Player 1 throws their hula hoop trying to get it around the chair.
  3. Player 2 throws their hula hoop trying to get it around the chair.
  4. Repeat until each player has had 3 tries.
  5. Take 6 steps away from the chair and repeat.
  6. Take 7 steps away from the chair and repeat.
  7. The player who has gotten the most hula hoops around the chair wins!
