Go for Gold!

Cheer on Team Canada this Winter Olympics and join in with your own games! Becoming an Olympian isn't easy. You have to train long hours for years so let's get you started! Become a Little Olympian by coming back every day between February 4th and 20th to complete an activity, exercise, or game!


Day 6 - February 9

A few seconds can mean the difference between getting a gold medal and not getting a medal at all! Get a bag of 50 or so beads, jelly beans, Legos, etc. and sort them by colour! Now if you're doing this on your own:

  1. Time yourself and sort once.
  2. Mix the items back up.
  3. Time yourself and resort them trying to beat your previous time.

If you're doing this with someone else:

  1. Time player 1 sorting the pieces as fast as they can.
  2. Mix the pieces back up.
  3. Time player 2 sorting the pieces as fast as they can.
  4. The winner is the person with the fastest time.
