Adult Craft Session: Blackout Poetry
Discover the art of turning words into your own poetry! Using pages from old books or printed text, participants create “blackout poems” by redacting words and revealing new meanings through selective highlighting. This creative, low-pressure activity encourages expression, imagination, and play with language. All materials are provided, and finished pieces make beautiful, thought-provoking artwork to take home. No prior writing experience is needed.
