  Title: Our first selection is Moon of the Crusted Snow by Waubgeshig Ric
 e, a compelling and accessible novel set in a remote Northern Anishinaabe 
 community during a sudden and prolonged power outage. As communication wit
 h the outside world disappears, the community must rely on tradition, lead
 ership, and cooperation to navigate uncertainty. Blending elements of susp
