Funeral Rites Around the World

To celebrate Halloween this year there will be a presentation on funeral rites around the world. Funerary customs comprise the beliefs and practices used by a culture to remember and respect the dead. Customs vary between cultures and religious groups. Differing beliefs about cleanliness and the relationship between body and soul are reflected in funerary practices. This presentation goes around the world and explains how different societies deal with the body after death. Feel free to come in costume.
